Students enjoyed taking a quiz over the Western Trails, Manifest Destiny, & the Reform Movement. Afterwards, they read about the acquisition of new land in the United States - Mexican Cession, Gadsden Purchase, & the Oregon Territory (page 394-395). We also began working on the causes of the Civil War (Pre-AP: group work & Regular: individual notes).
